What is up with these noise restrictions?

So there is a 'motorcycle only' race track I have been planning on hitting up for months now. It's about 6hrs away from me but supposedly "well worth it". Only one problem... they have a strict sound restriction of 104db.... So rather than chance it... I ordered a cheap sound tester... and found that neither of my 2 R6's even come close to passing... both exceeded 125db Yes both have performance exhaust, but even if I had an oem slip-on...I find it hard to believe the bike would never exceed 104db at high rpm....This is the 3rd track I'd be trying...but the 1st with this regulation... is this a common thing? via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/9asosy/what_is_up_with_these_noise_restrictions/?utm_source=ifttt
