Tldr: What road tires won't disentigrate at a track day and provide lots of warning when reaching the edge of traction?Full version: I have Pirelli Angel GTs on my SV650. Gearing up for my first track day, I read that they're not acceptable for track use. This caught me by surprise because of how confidently I've been able to drag peg with them. So now I'm trying to burn the last 4/32nds off my rear tire before I replace them next week in prep for thunderhill West.I'm hoping to replace them with tires that maximize warning near the limit. With car trackdays I learned that learning happens at the edge of traction, and it's easier and more fun when the tires aren't as grippy. No tire reviewer seems to talk about that detail, though.Does anyone have any tire suggestions? Am I approaching this all wrong? I appreciate any advice you can offer. I know I'm VERY likely overthinking this, but I'm nervous and I want to optimize since I won't have another track opportunity for a long while.Bike: 06 sv650 w/gsxr fork and zx10 rear shock Rider: ~20k miles, comfortable dragging peg with half a cheek off and moderate torso lean. via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/9bgnvc/nervous_noob_choosing_tires/?utm_source=ifttt
