CBR900RR beginner track bike?

Hi! I recently purchased a 1999 CBR900RR for $300. Past owner moved up from California to the PAC-NW and didn’t want to ride in the rain. It sat for a few years and he didn’t want to mess with fixing it up to sell it. It’s a trusted coworker’s long time boyfriend so I buy the story.I bought it to fix up and sell but now I’m thinking it may make a good track bike. I’ve been riding for 3 years or so on the street and have done 5 track days on a ‘97 CBR 600 F3 over the past two summers. It’s been a blast but the F3 is near mint and totally stock so I don’t want to risk it anymore. Is it too soon to move on to the 900? From what I can see, it’s about 30 more hp than the F3.Thanks for your input!TL;DR Bought a CBR900RR on the cheap. After 3 years of riding and 5 track days on a 600, is it too soon to move up? via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/9be9b0/cbr900rr_beginner_track_bike/?utm_source=ifttt
