Hey ya’ll, looks like this Sunday/Monday are going to be rainy down at The Ridge in WA (in August, a month that typically sees 1 day with rain). I’ve only ridden in the rain once previously (and only for a couple sessions) and will probably work on the same things again (lines, markers, BP) as I’m just on street tires, instead of pushing to improve lap times. I would just cancel the days but I’m planning to race in WMRRA next year and imagine racing in the rain is inevitable up here in the PNW. :)A couple questions:What’s the best way to dry your suit? I’ve got a hotel for the night after the first day, so would love to unfuck the suit a bit between days assuming it ends up real damp even with the rain gear over the top of it. Just hit it with a hair dryer or will that damage it?What else would everyone recommend working on beyond lines, BP, etc?I’ve just been moved up to A group (fast, advanced, black, whatever you call it for your local org). Given that I will be taking it much slower as I have little rain riding experience, should I look to bump down to intermediate? I assume the racers out there are still going to be running near 2 minutes even in the rain where as 2 minutes is how I run in the dry. I don’t want to impede or endanger faster guys. via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/93fcv7/rainy_weekend_coming_up_a_few_questions/?utm_source=ifttt
