Trackday riders of Reddit, I need your knowledgeable opinions.Currently I have a street setup 08 R6 with full exhaust, flashed ecu, pc3, braided lines and racetech fork springs. I may be looking at an 06 track R6 with all the bells and whistles. But there is a catch, it has an 08 SS motor. I have a parts list but I still have questions on what else has been updated with the engine (air box, wiring harness, maybe updated forks?) I'm hoping to get pictures this weekend.Basically my question is this, should I keep my current bike and add to it over the winter or sell it and pick up a well sorted, older gen bike? I would like to advance from track days to racing in the future, so I'm wondering if a non-matching year motor will limit class entrance.I have tried to research what other differences this generation has from the 08+ besides fork length, velocity stacks, and other engine changes and haven't found a whole lot.Any input is appreciated!! via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/9099hz/possible_track_bike_purchase_06_r6_with_a_twist/?utm_source=ifttt
