Vinales Lorenzo Predictions coming true
Just like I said when I got downvoted a bunch, Vinales prematurely believed all of his problems to have vanished, as per usual, despite the real issues appearing in Jerez 2017 for the first time. He is a man that thinks too much in the short term and doesn't have enough perception of what's going on, and apparently not enough sensibility to understand the bike's issue, although to be fair neither does the rest of the Yamaha garage, and potentially neither does Rossi. Don't get me wrong, I actually do like Vinales, he's a young prospect with a lot of heart and fire, but I just feel like he's been a bit immature in the last year and a half, essentially changing his whole approach to racing based on whether the bike is going well or not. One day he'll be in the top 3, and all of of the bike's issues will have been resolved, and the next weekend he'll say that everything needs to be reworked and that Yamaha isn't doing enough (which mind you, is probably true). As for Lorenzo, as many thought, Jerez was going to be a significant determinant in his career as far as Ducati goes. I think Ducati are sick of him acting so selfishly. The smartest option once he knew Dovi was faster than him (multiple attempts at overtaking, caught up to him after going wide etc.) would've been to not resist too strongly, and try to stick with him to see if they could catch Marc and get away from Dani. Instead he did everything in his power to stay ahead, and in the manoeuvre of the triple crash, he went wide because he pushed the braking beyond the limit in order to not get passed by his teammate, who as he himself stated "is a shame especially that he crashed because he is actually in title contention".I don't blame him for fighting, I blame him for fighting so bloodily when the race was still long and his teammate is in the championship race, while he's not.And as far as performance goes, I might be wrong but I don't think he's made a big step forward. Last year he did a podium in Jerez, and his season was still disappointing. In my opinion the only way he's keeping that Ducati seat is if he's fighting for the podium in every single race from here to Valencia, and if he actually starts getting some wins, otherwise it's ciao and buonanotte to Jorge.
