ATGATT Works.

https://imgur.com/a/NV7NvUMA couple weekends ago we headed out with some riding friends to carve up some twisties in nearby KY. We had to cross an interstate bridge to get there. My GF was on my 250 Super Sherpa because her VStrom had a bad rear bearing. She caught a shallow, hard-to-see pothole just right and it sent her into a tank slapper she could not recover from and went down. She is an excellent, safe rider; in fact I feel she is a better rider than I am. She just could not hold it. There was a rider behind her with good following distance which gave her the room to not get run over by him or other traffic. I was ahead and did not witness the accident, but noticed them missing and turned back, fearing the worst. She wears ATGATT, without compromise, ever. It saved her from a lot worse. We were in the hospital the rest of the day getting checked out, but nothing was broken, no internal injuries besides bruising. She's aching, but otherwise fine. Even if she didn't wear riding pants (like I sometimes do) she would have had it a whole lot worse. We were also with an amazing, supportive group of riders that took care of the bike (no towing fees!) and took me to the hospital because they were worried about me too. It made a difficult situation a lot easier to handle, I am so very thankful they were with us.Wear gear. I know its more cost, I know its less comfortable than you think. Yeah, you only have to go a couple miles...you just don't know when something will happen. Best to be prepared for it. I'm glad she never compromises and I will not compromise going forward. Be safe out there! via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/8l0j8c/atgatt_works/?utm_source=ifttt
