I watched 2000 Phillip Island GP the other day and noticed how different the races were directed/edited/shown.

There were different camera angles from today's, lots of helicopter views, quite abrupt changes from one camera view to another.

And it came to my mind you may even not recognize the track if you mute the commentary because of that different, not familiar directing.

For example, Lukey Heights didn't seem so spectacular, so steep. On the contrary, sometimes you didn't even notice this corner watching the race on TV. Sometimes it's shown from such angle that it seems completely flat chicane.

And you don't notice such things on TV when you watch races year after year, only when you watch one of today's race and the race on the same track that was held 15-20 years ago. Really different experience even for TV spectator
