Just picked up this 1978 CB750K frame for cheap and i can see the future bike she is destined to be but I could use some advice for it doesn't have a Title (i did get a bill of sale).This is in Texas. I can apply for a Bonded title but it requires Frame and Motor numbers but as you can see i dont have a motor. I'm planning on dropping a different motor in it but I dont want to pursue it if its gonna be a dead end and I'm sitting with a useless frame.From what I've research and been told, I need to:1-Have Local Law run a check on it to ensure its not on BOLO or stolen.2-Talk to local Tax assessor to check lien status (dont think that'll be an issue)3-Bring background check, bill of sale, tax documents of last owner, and title application to DMV and hopefully apply for Bonded title4-Wait for title...Has anyone had any experience with titling custom built motorcycles in Texas from the ground up?
