How important do you think extended intake spacers are for pod filters?

Such as this: https://www.gazzz-garage.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_6390.jpgI see people often talking negatively about pod filters and "constant velocity" carburetors and how pod filters supposedly will not give a stable enough airflow. And they say that if you do run pod filters it would be ideal to have extended spacers leading up to the carburetor from the pod filter. What do you think of this? Are pod filters just fine attached directly to the carb? Or is adding a spacer worthwhile? via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/blmycb/how_important_do_you_think_extended_intake/?utm_source=ifttt
