Non-factory slower teams' financials.

I've been following GP for the past year, pretty new I'd say, and I always had a question about these non-factory slower teams. What's the source of their revenue?? Factory teams are pretty straight forward, they get fans for their brand. (South Asian countries are filled with Yamahas because of 46.) What do the sata teams get that makes it worth it? Is the GP paying them to stay in the race so more bikes are on the track? (Watching only like 8 bikes would be kind of boring... even though the main action usually only includes much less than 8 bikes.) And not only just the GP, they also got 3 & 2 to keep alive with even less views. Riders, crew, bikes.

Just curious. Couldn't find much info on Google.

Edit : I know it is possible that they lose money or whatnot, but just how much money can they afford to keep losing if that's the case? (If anyone knows like real stats, would be super insightful.)

Thanks!
