So, I bought a ticket for the COTA race in April and the website. To my surprise the Insurance box was selected by default. Ok ass**** I thought, I am smarter than this so proceeded to unselect the box, problem resolved, correct? Wrong!!! I hit the SUBMIT button and they still charged me the insurance!
So, naturally I emailed them to explaining the circumstances with a request for the refund. Their reply: the Insurance charge is selected by default and I have to unselect it (which I did), further that the Insurance charge is billed by a separate company and cannot be refunded!
Why do these entities have to resort to nickel and dime(ing) us? Don’t they make enough money as is!
