Straight Pipe or Not?

Going the full custom exhaust route on my build. 4-1 exhaust for my gs550. Curious to hear input from others. Can’t make up my mind between straight piping for safety so other cars can hear me in their blind spot, but losing some low end but gaining in the top end, or using an exhaust (probably DCC reverse cone shorty), not going deaf, and not disturbing the peace down town (Savannah, Georgia), but risk drivers not knowing i’m in their blind spot because they can’t hear/see me. What’s your experience with having a straight pipe on these old In-line 4’s?
