I've made this brand new MotoGP prediction site, but...

…I’ve discovered I’m not the only one, heh.

Two years ago, when u/ximolho made his motogppredictor.com site, and that died off for some reason, I was considering building a replacement. Didn’t happen for some time, but I found the time to actually go ahead and do this. So, the past few weeks I’ve been working hard on creating this cool new site where people can predict the outcome of MotoGP races, score points based on the accuracy of their prediction and compare this to other players.

Two weeks ago, however, I got a bit disappointed because I found out that motogp.com actually hosts something like this themselves, and apparently, there’s other websites out there too.

However! I decided to march on and continue the last bits of work that needed to be done and put the site live. I’m still excited about this endeavor and I hope that with your feedback I can build this site out to something beautiful. I still have some ideas I want to implement and I’m very open to new ideas and suggestions as well.

So, without further ado, I present to you: MotoGOAT.net

The GOAT in MotoGOAT obviously stands for Greatest Of All Time, which is what we’re trying to figure out here: Who is the prediction GOAT and takes the top predictor spot in the rankings? On the site you can enter your prediction, see past results, compare your scores with others through a rankings system, view statistics of your performance and create/join groups. If you want a sneak peak of how things are looking, check out this imgur album where I’ve uploaded a few screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/3BpSasm

If you’re ready to sign up, head over to www.motogoat.net and start predicting!

Actually, the first thing you can predict are who will get the fastest lap times in the upcoming Qatar MotoGP Test of February 23rd. This event will be used as a preview for you and a test for me. So, you can enter your prediction, earn points after the event is concluded and check out the site and in the meantime I hope to find any last bugs (if any) and fix them. Results and scores will then be wiped again when the 2019 season starts for real.

I hope you’ll be as enthusiastic as I am and join the site to start predicting. It would mean a lot to me :)
