Miller a better fit than Petrucci?

After Petrucci has been signed to the factory Ducati team I have felt as if Jack Miller would have been a better rider to sign because of his aggressive riding style that can compete with the other top dogs on the track, especially Marquez; as Honda is the biggest threat to Ducati in my opinion. Maybe Petrucci has been signed because an Italian on an Italian bike looks a lot better...
