Rider contract transfer window/time frame: Good idea or bad?

This season was the worst yet for super early rider contract signings and team line up changes.During free practice this past weekend, Steve Day and Matt Birt mentioned the term "transfer window" or the idea of a set time frame for signings to happen. I had thought about this when all this was happening early in the season, but the first time I've heard the mainstream media speak about it.Do you support a transfer window/set time frame for contracts to be signed? Why or why not?
