MotoGP motorcycle testing

I'm relatively new to watching MotoGP and was wondering how often MotoGP riders are allowed to test their bike after a race weekend. Are MotoGP riders allowed to do an unofficial private test days on the bike which isn't organised by Dorna?Are MotoGP riders also allowed to go to private track days to work on their bike skills? From the looks of it they only practice on dirt track riding.
