Looking At Buying My First Bike, Could Use Some Advice

I've been thinking about buying a bike for well over a year now and have been watching the classifieds almost daily in search of the right bike. I recently found two 78 Suzuki GS models that are about a 3 hour drive away from me, and would really appreciate any input you fine folks may be able to give me.The first one I found is a 78 GS550, original asking price of 900 CAD, but the owner has since dropped it to 600 CAD.Here is a link to the ad: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-street-cruisers-choppers/strathcona-county/suzuki-550-cafe-racer-project-bike/1375973022?enableSearchNavigationFlag=trueThe second bike is a 78 GS750, asking 1200 CAD.https://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-bikes/edmonton/1978-suzuki-gs750/1378435707?enableSearchNavigationFlag=trueBoth of these bikes need work, and that's fine. I expect, and want to work on my future bike. Winter is coming, and something to work on during that time is always nice. I'm in no rush to get it done. The owner of the 550 states that it is not currently running as it is not complete, however it was running before he started tearing it down. Without being able to see it running, this makes me a little hesitant. The 750 does run if you kick it over. The owner also states that the tires, and rear suspension are both quite new. This would save me some money down the road. Here is a picture of the bike before it was torn down. Both bikes have all the parts necessary to reassemble them.I feel like the 550 needs the most work, and may or may not actually run. but the price point of 600 CAD is very appealing. The 750 needs the least amount of work, and may save me money as it has new tires, a nice 4-1 header, and new suspension.Sorry for the essay here, but I would really love any feedback that you all may have,Thank you. via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/99q2c5/looking_at_buying_my_first_bike_could_use_some/?utm_source=ifttt
