Donor bike for custom build: Cheap new Chinese vs Cheap old Japanese (125cc)

So in my quest to the ideal bike to do my custom build on. Which one would you prefer? I know most builds are done on a Honda CB125/CG125 but most of them here are quite pricey and require engine overhaul (which is totally fine but if you can bypass it..)My current options are either:Cheap chinese: Mash/Bullit 125cc (2nd hand) (800-1200 euro)Less cheap old Japanese: Honda CB125 (1200-1500 euro)Considerations:Which one will be most reliable..Which one will be the easiest to customize..My own thoughts: the cheap chinese ones are considerably cheaper, mostly have disc brakes, wider tires and already painted parts in the colour I wantWhich route would you go? via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/95x0jb/donor_bike_for_custom_build_cheap_new_chinese_vs/?utm_source=ifttt
