MotoGP infographics: smiling headshot for the lead rider, normal headshot for the others?

Came across this video on Facebook (I don't have a non-FB link): https://www.facebook.com/MOTO73NL/videos/1775412715837848/It shows Lorenzo and Dovizioso swapping places in the race. In the infographics, it has a headshot for the lead rider with a smiling face, but a normal face when he's not in the lead. Is this an actual thing!? If so: totally awesome detail that I'm going to pay attention to in every upcoming race. :-p
