Never say Never but maybe a Soft tyre could have finished 2nd in Jerez ??? 3rd??? emphasis on MAYBE
Being lazy and not looking at data/race information, I too believed the soft tyres (Front soft, Rear Medium for Jlo right?) would not likely last the whole race at a good pace for even Jlo or Zarco; however, never say never? What I am getting it; is not possible that the tyre could last at a good pace? I am certain I have seen the likes of Zarco and Jlo, maybe others, make a soft or medium tyre last when most thought it not possible. With that, is it also not possible that Jlo was not at the limit but was riding to conserve the tyres for the 2nd half? He has run out of tyre before or wished he had chosen differently but he also has saved tyre life before and gone faster 2nd half. If the previous can be true, then there are many assumption that are taken as rock solid. Being assumptions, then many arguments then are, to say it softly, silly." He held up Dovi" "He was gonna end up 12th"I think its possible he felt he could not beat MM but that he could fight for 2nd with Dovi and Pedrosa and the best way was to to slow them down and then attack at end in which case what is so wrong about slowing the race down for his competitors?? I Have seen that tactic before without much controversy so why now? They slowed down but still faster than the chasing group right? I recall seeing high 39's before the "racing incident" and most of the 3rd chasing group 1sec+ from the trio's lap time.I am a Jlo fan, among Rossi's and MM's, and do think he would have run out of front soft tyre, but then again LOL I am not a motogp racer nor crew staff. So once again, is it plausible? How likely? Or am I drinking too much 99 coolaid????
