European vs USA bikes: The same?

I'm just curious about euro vs american bike differences. I know euope has a new emissions standard coming out, Euro 5 I believe, and it's strict enough it's causing a lot of bike manufacturers to discontinue certain models.​If I buy, say, the Honda CB650R, which has a european model, is that the exact same bike that ships to america?
